As we wind up our year, we have a few bits of news about your library services.
Tumblebooks (ebooks for kids) now has iPad compatible ebook picture books.

The Children’s Literacy Foundation has recently granted the Madison Library a Rural Public Libraries Sponsorship. This means that the Madison Library will receive $2,000 worth of new children’s books for our collection.

We’re happy to see snow for school vacation week. As the storm continues on Monday, the Madison Library will be closed as our town’s road crews work hard to clear roads first, then parking lots like ours once the blizzard is done.

The Madison Library has added an Orion Starblast 4.5” reflector telescope to its collection thanks to a generous donation to the NH Astronomical Society in honor of Silver Lake Postmaster Susan Stowbridge. Library cardholders will be able to check out the sturdy, tabletop telescope and gaze at the stars and planets from home.
