The library’s Chick Room has exhibit space for hanging artwork, and month-long art shows featuring local artists are planned throughout the year. Artists interested in exhibiting at the library are invited to review our Artistic Display Policy and Agreement, and contact us to arrange an exhibit time.
We’re looking for artists interested in displaying their work for two-month blocks starting in January 2012.
November and December 2011: Dorothy Rogers
Madison resident Dorothy Rogers’ paintings of local scenes offer warm snapshots of what we all like best about life in this part of the world. Painting mainly in watercolor, Rogers is an excellent draftsman whose work celebrates the familiar, highlighting details that make the everyday become unique and special.
The exhibit of Dorothy Rogers’s work will be open during regular library hours with a few exceptions when the Chick Room is being used for other library events.
