Written for older children, award-winning author Jean Fritz has made this book about James Madison–Founding Father and our town’s namesake–an accessible and fun read for all ages. Families are encouraged to read it aloud together to include younger children.

The Madison Library is one of 4,000 libraries nationwide selected to receive the We the People Bookshelf, a collection of 17 books for young readers on the theme of “A More Perfect Union.”
